Behind the Hub
Naima is a Black/Multiracial Deaf woman, pre-licensed therapist, and the founder of the Deaf Mental Health Hub. She created this platform to help Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and DeafPlus individuals find care in sign language—with providers who truly understand their experiences.
Naima holds degrees in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling from Gallaudet University and Arcadia University. She’s worked in Deaf education, therapy, and mental health research—with a focus on making services more inclusive and accessible for the Deaf community.
Currently, she works as a pre-licensed therapist with National Deaf Therapy and supports other community wellness projects through Deaf Y.E.S.! Recovery & Empowerment Center.

Why the Hub Exists
Naima saw firsthand how hard it is for Deaf people to access mental health care that feels safe, respectful, and language-accessible. The Deaf community often faces too many barriers when looking for support.
So, she built the Deaf Mental Health Hub—a digital space for Deaf wellness, offering access to ASL-fluent providers, educational videos, and culturally affirming care.
